Welcome to the 3rd annual sale of young breeding stock from Caramba Beef Shorthorns

I want to sincerely thank all of you for supporting our pervious 2 sales. I am very grateful to the buyers and underbidders who have grasped the online sales concept and supported our sales in the way that you have.

This year we have adapted the format as part of the continued site development.

This year’s sale order is a one-day event on Saturday 21st April 2018 with the first lot being offered at 3pm and each lot number will open 20 minutes after the previous animal.

You will see an overview of the lot numbers and their sale times on our Home page. Click on the View all Listings page where you can review photos and video of each sale animal together with extended individual descriptions and sale information.

I hope that you will enjoy viewing the photos and videos of each animal. All the sale cattle were out-wintered and were brought home at the end of February for sale preparation.

I am very grateful to Jackie Riddle who clipped and groomed the cattle and to Alfie Shaw from Agri Images for taking the photos and videos.

I feel this year’s selection is possibly the most consistent group yet to be offered from the Caramba herd. There are 8 heifers & 2 bulls sired by Bushypark Ultra that are like peas in a pod. You will have the choice of heifers sired by Carrarock Chalkie who needs no induction.  Heifers sired by home bred bulls Hush and Beefeater, also a smart heifer by HC Free Spirit 6Y and towards the end of the sale we have 3 heifers sired by Heir Apparent of Longfield the 2016 Stirling Jr. Champion & Reserve Overall Champion. Heir Apparent of Longfield is also the sire of 2 select young bulls in Caramba Leprechaun and Caramba Lancelot the 2017 All Ireland Jr. calf title holder.

Once again, this year we have organised an on farm open day that is open to all. Please accept this as an invite to come and view the Caramba Beef Shorthorn herd and the sale cattle. I look forward to welcoming you onto the farm and showing you our wee farm.
